A Trisomy 18 Warrior

Asher was born in January of 2019. We knew he likely had Trisomy 18, but his diagnosis had not yet been confirmed at birth. The facility where he was born stopped treatment at just 3 days old, and he was sent home with minimal support.

We were incredibly blessed to connect with another family in our area whose child also had Trisomy 18 and received care at a different hospital. Thanks to that connection, Asher was transferred and received life-saving intervention.

His first year was difficult, but since then, Asher has continued to exceed every medical expectation.

He brings light and joy to everyone he meets. We are beyond grateful for the amazing people he has brought into our lives. Asher has the best personality—he loves dogs, cats, the pool, and his siblings. He is funny, smart, and full of life.

Watching him grow and become the incredible little guy he is today is the greatest gift.
