A Stillborn Angel
Hi everyone! This is the story of my beautiful baby boy, Kylin!
I was 21 when I got pregnant with Kylin. It wasn’t a planned pregnancy. I wasn’t expecting to start my motherhood journey this early in life at the time.
I had gone to the emergency room for an unrelated incident and ended up needing a CT scan. The doctor came in and did bloodwork before they did the CT scan. It was a very busy night, and it took the doctor about an hour to get back with me. He came into the room with the most serious face, and I asked if he could speak to me with others in the room. He told me that I was pregnant, and at that point, my hCG levels were over 90,000. He estimated me to be 18 to 20 weeks. I was shocked.
So instead of getting a CT scan, I got an ultrasound. I found out I was having a baby boy and that I was exactly 18 weeks and 4 days. My pregnancy was nothing out of the ordinary, and time flew by.
On March 14, 2023, the most unexpected thing happened. I had no idea that I was in labor. I was having a little bit of back pain, but at that point, I didn’t believe that I was in labor. At around 4:25 p.m., I ended up giving birth to my beautiful baby boy at home, and he was deceased.
He had passed a few days before birth. It was the most traumatic and unexpected event that has ever happened to me.
Eight months later, I got pregnant with my beautiful rainbow baby, my daughter, my love.
Every day, we think about Kylin and what all he would have achieved by now! Today, I know he is proud of the woman I have become, his sister, and his father!
