HollyRose
A Gastroschisis Warrior
Meet HollyRose! At my 20-week scan, we discovered she had Gastroschisis, a birth defect causing a hole in the abdominal wall. Born on Feb 28th at 34 weeks via emergency c-section due to fetal movement issues, HollyRose faced an incredibly complex case at Children's Hospital Colorado. Her intestines, stomach, and right fallopian tube were repositioned with a silo for 3 days. She encountered a colon fistula and a sepsis scare. She underwent a stoma and mucus fistula, enduring an 85-day nothing by mouth period with total parenteral nutrition. Despite slow progress and a setback with NEC, after a reanastomoses surgery, Hollyrose finally came home after 141 days. Now thriving with her g-tube removed, she's growing faster than I can believe. Through every challenge, I'm in awe of her strength and our unshakable faith in God's unwavering presence by her side.
Hollyrose is a true warrior princess! Her smile is infectious and she has a genuine love of life that is contagious! Love that her journey and strength are being honored with this collection.
