We’re thrilled to bring back our core line of Stella Effect gear to help bring awareness for Trisomy 13 and 18 as well as to help raise funds for our families. 

Did you know that children with Trisomy 13 and 18 are often born with clenched fists? This is a physical marker and one of the first things we learn about our babies when we receive their diagnosis. Although, our babies having clenched fists is usually news that is delivered as a negative, it is one of our favorite physical characteristics of our babies. 🥰 We hope you can wear this gear for the babies we love and raise awareness that we are changing the narrative and that love doesn’t count chromosomes.

The Stella Effect is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to helping families who have a baby with trisomy 13 or 18 through celebrating birthdays, financial support for families moving for fair care, advocacy, and community. 

We are so lucky to partner with Laree and Co. for all our apparel! With each purchase at Laree and Co., 10% of their profits goes to the Lillian Rose Foundation. So with each purchase, you’re really helping two organizations who support our trisomy families. Lillian was born with Trisomy 18 and lived earth-side for nearly 5 beautiful years before she went to her eternal home. Her mama, Alivia, continues Lillian’s legacy through sending care packages to medically complex kiddos and babies and bereavement packages to grieving parents.

This item is made to order and does take additional time to process. Please allow up to 1-2 weeks for us to process the order before your order is shipped. 

 PLEASE NOTE: You may notice some off-white residue or slight discoloration when you first receive your shirt. Please do not worry! This comes from the special solution we use for printing the design on your shirt. It can sometimes leave marks during the drying process. These are not stains and will wash off after the first wash cycle.

To keep your shirt's design as beautiful as possible, we do recommend washing this garment inside out on the gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water. You can either tumble dry low or line dry.

OUR STORY

In 2016 at 27 weeks gestation we discovered that our daughter Lillian had an extra 18th chromosome. We were told our perfect warrior girl would not survive to her first birthday but against all odd she lived for five incredible years. It is the goal of our family to spread awareness and make a difference for medically complex children because of our beautiful Lillian.
