Riley Marie Gilmore (aka Riley Bear) was born on May 6, 2020, and lived for 117 beautiful days. Diagnosed with Trisomy 13, her family knew their time with her would be limited and chose to fill each day with love, joy, and meaningful moments.

Riley brought so much hope to people near and far, reminding us to cherish life’s smallest joys. Despite her health challenges, she always found a way to share a sweet smile—whether feeling the fresh air, listening to music she loved (especially Taylor Swift), or snuggling close with her parents. When people think of Riley, they remember her unicorn pacifier, her adorable donut hat, her trip to the mountains and beach, and the way she lit up when she felt the sunshine. Her life was a testament to unconditional love, proving that the number of days a person lives has no bearing on the impact they can make.

This year, Riley would be turning five. Her parents are incredibly touched to know that her light continues to shine, reaching people in ways they never imagined. Friends, family, and even those who never met her still share stories of how Riley has shaped their perspective—helping them appreciate life’s little moments, deepening their empathy, and guiding them in supporting others.
