Lochlyn, an Achondroplasia Dwarfism Warrior At 33 weeks, we were surprised with the news that our last baby had a rare and fatal form of skeletal dysplasia, along with Hydrops. We were told she wouldn’t survive delivery. She was born 2 weeks later and proved the doctors wrong. She beat Hydrops and was diagnosed with Achondroplasia Dwarfism, the most common form of dwarfism. She’s been defying the odds and handling the not-so-fun effects of dwarfism like a champ. We’re so grateful for her and know we’re blessed to have her in our lives and family. She has the sweetest, sassiest, funniest spirit and constantly makes us laugh. She loves anything “mini”: calico critters, mini lalaloopseys, legos, etc. She also LOVES her big sister. They’re best friends. Lochlyn’s favorite color is currently purple, but it was pink earlier. She loves helping in the garden, helping mom cook, and watching any of the Minion movies.
